Wikimedia

Wikimedia tools for research: Good! Life and research is all about sharing information and opinions, and wiki's have a bit of both. Wiki's are a good way to get background information on things. You of course should always back up your information with other sources.

Wikimedia tools for student contribution: I think that it is cool to have a place where students can share information about their projects or things theyve learned. It could be like an online tutor type thing, where everyone can put things into their own words.
Students could use it to give answers, but with everything there is a downside. ohwell.

The page I edited:
I added the sentence "It is known for it's "Tulip Festival" in April. " Harharhar :D

Wikispaces

Wikis are great for sharing information. It's kinda like having a website without all the visual appeal and stuff. It gets to the point. It could be used as a substitute for text books, worksheets, etc. It is kind of like Moodle in a way.

Delicious Bookmarking

I think it could be a great research tool that way everyone can get the same information, no mixed messages or anything. Also, if you work somewhere where websites are important, instead of sending the link to every person you can put it up on Delicious and whoever needs it can look for it. It most likely won't be a big research tool but it could. It will probably be used by kids who want to share game sites...

Netvibes

I have not figured out how to add a blogger thing to my Netvibes thing.
'Tis not my friend.
Anyways, RSS feeds are really helpful to get all your information in one place.
Its a hassle to have to go to ten different websites in two hours, instead of going to one site and getting all the information you need in half an hour or less.

EDIT:
i totally get RSS now :D thank you mrs c
